For a perfect day, Rome Cavalieri will arrange a private jet for the bride and groom to Rome, the palatial Penthouse suite with panoramic roof terrace and “his and hers” monogrammed linens, and a horse-drawn carriage to one of Rome’s famous churches.

A lunch reception will be prepared for you and your guest by their three star Michelin chef Heinz Beck, while on terraces overlooking Rome and the day will end with an exclusive fireworks display and a balloon release from Cavalieri’s roof.

This luxury hotel will also arrange hand-crafted invitations, custom designed wedding bands, photos against the back drop of Rome’s famous monuments, and help arrange honeymoon plans.

A 750-gramme white truffle from northern Italy sold for 100,000 euros($150,000) during an auction at the end of the 79th White Truffle Festival of Alba.

The Piedmont region, where Alba is located, is considered to have the best ‘tartufo bianco’ (white truffles) in the world.

Oretta Zanini De Vita claims Italians ate pasta long before Marco Polo’s voyage.

The pre-eminent Italian food historian, seems to have a tool for every pasta: a centuries-old ravioli cutter, a wooden stamp that mints pasta like coins, a chitarra for creating thick strands of tagliatelle.
